subject: Battery Size Trivia

JP> JP> I do not know the type, just the size and IIRC the length is
JP> JP> 2.25", then 3/4" by 5/16th". If you know the
type by these, do let me
JP> JP> know.

JP> TW> Is that the Individual Cell size or the Whole Pack?

JP> That is the individual size, Tom. The whole pack is 8 1/8",
JP> 1 3/8" and 5/16". In metric, the individual cell is 65 mm, 8 mm
JP> and 16 mm

I didn't find that size in my chart.
 The closest was 58mm X 8MM X 20 MM
ICOM could be using a Custom Battery. That is quite easy nowdays with
China in the business. They will produce almost anything you want.
Have you done any Interet searching for non ICOM "replacement" battery
packs for that radio. IF they cannot be found I highly suspect that it
does use a custom sized battery.
