subject: ....... HELP !! ....... With Rickenbacker wiring

******* HELP !! ******* With Rickenbacker wiring

Well once again I am putting out this request and I hope someone can
help me.

I have a Rickenbacker Combo 800 that a previous owner totally screwed
up the wiring. It has two pickups, one volume, one tone and TWO
toggle switches. This configurationwas used on some early Capri's and
Combo 450's I believe.

How do you wire this thing ?????

What does each toggle switch do ???
- Does one or both work like a normal 2 pickup Rick as follows :
Position #1: Neck pickup
Position #2: Neck and bridge pickup
Position #3: Bridge pickup

I've read that this guitar can make the pickups act as a
humbucker..... wouldn't this only be possible when both pickups are
active ????

There are 9 possible combinations with two 3-position switches.
I can see one 3 positions used on one switch like a normal
Rickenbacker.
1 position on the other switch to make it a humbucker...... so what
about the last two positions ???
I am just guessing to how this thing might work.... am I even close ??

Would it be possible to modify the 381JK (John Kay Model) schematics
for my Combo 800 ???

If anyone has a picture of the inside of a Combo 800 or 850 or early 2
knob / 2 toggle-switch Capri please send it to me.

Thanks....... Chris

PS anyone interested in selling any of the instruments mentioned above
???
