Ok folks, I've just released BTPE 4.00. I know I said the other
one would hopefully be the last, well hopefully THIS one will be
the last, which it will be if:
1. All my changes are accepted by Vince (or at least changes to my
changes!).
2. Source code is released to the successor of Binkley 2.60.

I have sent netmail to Vince about this topic, but I don't think my
netmail actually gets through, but I hope that Bob Juge will FREQ
it as usual and the changes will be adopted anyway. I had hoped
that the changes would be small enough to post as a message, but
the context diff was 240k in size!

Anyway, I am now shipping the context diff + executables only, so
the archive is smaller, weighing in at a measly 438540 bytes?!
Mainly because it includes both DOS + OS/2 executables, both
compiled with Watcom, can even use WASM for DOS now!!! I have
compiled it using Watcom, CSET, EMX, Borland for OS/2, and
Borland + Watcom for DOS. The DOS version was only minimally
tested, the OS/2 version I use live.

So anyway, FREQ "BTPE" from 3:711/934 if you want a look-see.

I will include the feature list from the documentation and my
updated "blurb" file. BFN. Paul.

The main features of BTPE cf Binkley 2.60 are:
A few new compiler configurations supported
1/100 second resolution in logs.
AT commands get printed out
Responses aren't case-changed.
Case-sensitive comparison of "ERROR" etc so as to not get a match on
Netcomm's "Error Correction" string, also more stringent matching on
the string, so as to not match on Netcomm's debug info "OK, trying
xxx".
Fixed bug in Wazoo session with product >255 causing trap.
Protect against control characters in the log.
Added "Afterconnect" (same syntax as Aftercall)
Ability to debug every character going to or from the modem by setting
environment variable BINKDBG to some file (OS/2 only)
32-bit OS/2 comms routines, required by EMX, and used in the others too
Most compiler warnings flushed

BTPE - a Fidonet front-end mailer
