Referring to your msg of 16 Apr 1996:
RH> Is it possible to send the (stdout) output of an OS/2
RH> command or regular character-oriented program directly back
RH> to the Rexx script that issued the command?
DN> Issue the command VIEW REXX RXQUEUE at an OS/2 command prompt.
David,
Thanks, but I did that a couple of times before I decided to ask here!
However this gives only information on how to create/delete/set/get a
queue_NAME_, nothing about how to put 'stdout' data on a Rexx queue! Maybe
you have a different REXX.INF mine is of Warp-Connect (12-12-94, 203855
bytes)
In the meantime I got a reply by netmail that gave the solution: use the
piping-character on the commendline to send the output to the program
RXQUEUE, like:
pgm.exe | RXQUEUE
This indeed has the effect I was looking for. So RXQUEUE apparently has
more function than the .INF wants to tell me about.
Cheers, Rob
