In the June Birdtalk (and in most of them in fact), they
have ads for places that carry a lot of bird/parrot reference
books. You might try them.
Once you've narrowed the field of the parrots that you're
interested in, you can start asking people on here who own
that type for their pros and cons. That's what's neat about
parrots... they come in so many different varieties and per-
sonalities there's bound to be one or more that suits almost
anyone. Just beware of generalizations... like African Greys
always feather-pluck (no they don't), or cockatoos scream
constantly (don't do that always either).
