Here is summary of my LORD programming work:

1) Charlie Wardick is rebuilding Realm of Lore igm for me, to Angel
toolkit, which I've adopted from Paul Mullins.  It is not ready for bbs
testing yet.  The ROLCFG.exe program is updated and usable, if someone
needs it, with the old ROL v1.44 program.  I've created a brand new Setup
program for ROL, named RLSetup.exe which uses a different configuration
structure.  So far I've not got a new Monster Editor program for work on
the igm's renemy.dat file, so users would have to continue using ROLCFG for
that.  The old igm programs (ROL.EXE and ROLCFG.EXE) use a lot of really
old code which  is difficult to understand, so everything in the igm is
being fully  rewritten to current Lord igm specs.

2) Pawn Shop - Wil be re-released sometime this month as version 3.30. No
brand new features in this release.  Just fine-tuning of what was already
in the igm from version 3.00 and 3.10.

3) Ruined Castle - WIll be released this weekend, as version 2.20. Now
includes adaptation of Gordon Lewicky's DragonPoop lady script event, as a
randomly executed igm exit process.

4) Violet's Cottage II - My second and last remake of Trevor Herndon's lord
igms.  It is not feasible to attempt a remake of Castle of LORD due to
there being too many unknown factors to deal with.  Including not knowing
details of how Trevor handled monster fights in the igm, or not having
knowledge of a couple of primary igm events.  VC II will be released as
version 1.00 later this month.

5) Turgeon's House - Have started new update process which covers players
getting to eat food in Kitchen.  No timetable for next release.

6) Hiding in the Shadows - Working on getting igm fully stable.  Some of my
DDIGM code routines are screwed up, making it impossible to run the
InitDoorDriver routine correctly to date.  So I'm working on that issue. 
Parts of IGM have been rewritten to allow new events, such as three new
wishes in Wishing Well - Horse, Fairy, Child. Unsuccessful vault robbers
now lose 75% of their gold and gems when they are thrown out of the Lair.

Have been pre-occupied with renewed trouble with TMJ in my jaws so I am
being treated with medication for that by my oral surgeon.

And I've not spent a lot of time this year on the Lord newsletter. People
are slow to send any news for it, and few seem to be doing any Lord
programming anyway.  Hope that this doesn't get duplicated also, but if it
does, so be it. Donald.
