Just a quick note on this: The DLL included with Speed-Pascal does not
implement 32 bit text mode routines - the DLL is simply an interface layer
to the 16 bit text mode routines of OS/2.  The DLL is required, because SP
cannot call these APIs directly, as is the case with VP.

VP is more expensive than SP, but you do get more for your money too - the
most obvious is the printed manual of course.  What you ultimately buy must
be a compromise between what you can afford and what you need, with your
input based on what you hear, what you think of the demo versions and of
course reviews.

VP/2 is priced in a way that we hopefully do not scare anyone away with an
overly high price tag, while charging enough that we can fund further
development and support.  Selling a product too cheaply can kill it just as
easily as selling it too expensively can - it's a balancing act...
