why not use a mail scan menu? let them choose all, tagged, local/netmail, and
perhaps any groups.
it's all using the browse command-
[key_poke]1
[menu_cmd msg_area] (we're in area 1 now)
[key_poke]ayr
[menu_cmd msg_browse] (brose all areas/your mail/read)
[key_poke]tyr
[menu.. (brose tagged/yours/read)
[key_poke]fido.muffin
[menu_cmd msg_area]
[key_poke]gyr
[menu_cmd msg_brose] (this'll scan fido.* for your new mail. it doesn't
matter what sub-group you go into, just as long as
                          it's something in fido.* =)
I have a menu with all/tagged/local plus each net i'm in (which have their
own divisions) so you don't need to wait. i have over 300 areas now, so it
comes in handy =)
