Jeeze, without looking at the copyright, I have no idea, but it must be the
better part of 15-18 years by now, surely?

Yes, but theirs is a unique style of absurd slapstick, and I look upon it
as a brilliant example of barely-controlled mayhem.  Interesting also that
many of today's big names in pommie comedy started out in that show as
well, like Ben Elton, Jennifer Saunders, Dawn French, Lennie Henry, and
Alexei Sayle, just to name a few (and the deaf Mrs Richards from Fawlty
Towers, from memory).
