  I DO know that after Romero discovered that all the fan letters were from 
the same address, he suggests some proctological uses for Miller's pen.  :-)  
Miller then explained what he really meant, and the two became fast buddies.

  It's pretty obvious!  id leaves Apogee.  id makes Doom.  id makes millions. 
 Apogee sits there for 3 years trying to recover.  Any questions?
