Jesus indeed!  No mention so far re access rights, but it's clear that he
did have his wife's permission to take them away on holidays.  She can't
have been too concerned about their safety if she did that.  Trouble is,
all we get are 2nd-hand media reports (mostly exaggerated bullshit), and my
DS mate who now works in the DVU (transferred form the Sexual Offenders
Squad - isn't that a great name, BTW? - only a few months back) just
happened to be away on leave last week, and was unable to fill me in on the
finer details when he turned up here yesterday for a quick beer before work
(he starts at 2.00pm).

Sure, but look at the incredibly tough restrictions which exist for
concealable firearms, then consider that the painters and dockers at the
Evans Deakin Shipyard at Kangaroo Point were forever offering to sell me
stolen pistols and revolvers regardless.  Trouble is, if a crim or a loony
wants a gun, chances are he'll get one (or even make one), no matter what
the law says.
