Ah, but remember - it's doing only a 'backup the bits that have changed'
kind of thing. So the first time I back up, it takes forever. But I only
have to do that once. After that, I'm backing up only what's changed.
My initial backup is 2 gig, to a single directory. I called that directory
'Morning', and copied it to 'Afternoon' and 'Evening'.
Then I do an rsync at 7:00 AM, noon, and 4:00 PM. I'm really only
changing, let's see... 10 or so megabytes of data. But the net effect is
to have three backups each day.
A restore? I've never had to do a 'suck the whole thing back over the net'
restore. But I've sure had to bring back individual files, and that works
like a charm.
