subject: Important- New Echo Rules

I've been putting this off since assuming moderatorship of this echo in
October in hopes that the echo's participants could behave responsibly enough
to not need rules. However, a certain few individuals have been causing a few
problems to those of us who enjoy this echo. Therefore effective IMMEDIATELY
the rules to follow are in effect. Please note that if you do not have access
to netmail on the system you are posting from, you will receive NO warning
for first violation. Since a second violation will land you with a suspension
from the echo, it is VITAL that you follow the rules the FIRST time. Enough

                  ARCADE echo Rules 12/19/96
1) The primary topic of this echo is coin-operated arcade games. However,
limited discussion of home games is permitted. Computer video games are
considered off-topic. If a discussion is deemed off-topic end the thread
immediately.
2) The moderators of this echo are Thomas Teeter who may be reached via
netmail at 1:395/19 and Brad Flickinger who may be reached at 1:212/2012.
Any moderation questions or comments are to be handled via netmail ONLY.
3) Positively NO flaming (personal attacks of ANY kind, to even include
personal criticism of any type, such as another's spelling).
Foul language will be absolutely NOT be tolerated here. First warning
will be a netmail message to you with a carbon copy sent to the sysop
of the system you are posting from. Next violation will result in
a suspension of the echo to the problem poster and/or a feed cut to the
system the user is posting from. This will be determined soley at the
moderator's discretion. Please note that if you do not have access to
receive netmail, you will NOT receive a warning unless your sysop passes
it on to you. Therefore it is possible that you may find yourself without
access to this echo without warning if you violate the rules more than
once. This makes it especially important for you to follow the echo rules
if you would like to continue having access.
4) Other rules may be added as necessary

                                            Thomas
