Hallo, Larry!

The term 'Altweibersommer' is common and used. But almost nobody knew the
origin. Me either . I asked for it in several german FIDO areas and
there I got the explanations I posted in IA. I still don't know which one
is right or real traditional. But I don't care. Sometimes it is even nicer
to create an own interpretation, what do you say? [I guess the third
version, this one with the beauty, is not a traditional one ].
Do you have a special expression for this period in Hawaii?
Thank you for your mail!
