Glynis go by the name on the braclet, Messer, and if you have the age of his
mother at the time of his birth go into the birth index and see if you can
locate her birth certificate. If she used her married name rather than her
maiden name then look for a marriage certificate and get her maiden name
from that. After you have that info get a copy of her birth certificate
which will have her parents info on it and then see if you can locate their
birth certificates. At this point you will have started a Geneolgy search
and then run the names thru the phone disk plus you can run them thru the
Social Security Death Index to see if they are on it. If they are on the
SSDI then you will know when and where they died and then can check the
obit's in the newspapers for more info. If you run the phone disk and call
or write to these people then you can say that you are working on family
history (which is not a lie) and could they help.
