I usually haven't had a Recipe in the messages I write here but here is one
called: "Angel Biscuits" .
I saw it when I opened the Recipe Box to get another Recipe for My Wife
and noticed this Recipes' Name was on the first card when I raised the lid
and thought 'that one' would be a good Recipe to put in a message here.

Angel Biscuits
5 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon soda
3 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup shortening
2 packages dry yeast
4 tablespoons warm water
Mix yeast and warm water first
and let stand. Mix dry ingredients
together. Cut in shortening. Add
yeast mixture and buttermilk to dry
ingredients;mix well. Roll out on
floured surface and cut. Bake at 375
degrees until light brown. Can be
made ahead of time and stored in
refrigerator and used as needed.
Dough will keep several weeks.
Pinch off and use as needed.
