Yes and no; yes they are, but not as "neatly" or
"conveniently" as the USR. Or at least, so it seems, anyway.

Which is why I'm so anxious for Vince to release the 2.59 source code since
it has a lot of the best of both EE and other hacks.
BG> Does it really matter?
In the big scheme of things, no; but it would be nice if Vince either
released 2.60, or gave up and released the source code to 2.59, totally
throwing away responsibility for releases.

Thanks - just the pick-me-up I'm looking for. ;-)
BG> So what are we supposed to use in its place then?
If Vince would release the source to 2.59 (which has a lot of the EE
enhancements rolled into it), I'd be happy. Then Paul can hack it all he
wants and I'd be happy to run it.

Must be some quirk - I just checked tonight and got a clean 100% 28.8Kbps
connection with an AscendMAX box, so it's not my modem or line. Entirely.

I don't have buffered UARTs, so I need to keep the number of interrupts
down. When I finally get my new machine (BV, where the heck are those
prices?!), I'll lock it at 115.2Kbps and forget it. Happy?! :-)
BTW, I've switched to 57.6Kbps as an experiment - doesn't seem to provide
much of an improvement for the stuff I do (then again, I haven't throttled
it much either).
Cheers..
