The "From" field and INTL line are also used by people to reply
to messages. Doesn't mean you have to mess up the message-text bit of the
message to do so. That's what we write programs for.

That is a fair comment. I cannot bring myself to live in harmony with
something that is so obviously technically incorrect. Like having to code
for the incorrect date formats for example. It's like asking me to chop
off my hands. In fact, I don't even understand how others can live with
that in their code. It may even be a failing characteristic I have.
Another one that I am aware of is that I have a lot of trouble debugging
code, and thinking ahead. E.g. if a program of mine hasn't been run yet, I
can't think of anything wrong with it. But if it comes up with an error
(or a trap), and I have absolutely no idea what line of code it crashed on,
I suddenly come up with theories, sometimes even accurate. But I never do
BEFORE running it. Also if I am debugging and I'm putting in a test,
whilst waiting for the results, I have a lot of trouble thinking ahead to
what the next problem is likely to be. Hmmm. I think I should go on harder
drugs or something. Er, where were we? Oh, that's right. I AM RIGHT AND
YOU ARE WRONG. Back to the debate. BFN. Paul.
