I haven't forgotten to look up your modem I just have been having a bad time just now. Did a net search on your modem name and external and got 51 hits but only looked at a few. Adding the model number you included inexplicably yielded no hits at all. Over three hundred hits if you leave off external so it seems more of these were made. I've found init strings and will go back and snag some more info when I feel up to it. Currently there's a red tide sitting off the coast giving everyone with less than perfect respiratory systems fits and an ear infection that's proving persistent. I also did a small bit of research on my Rockwell HCF software modem and found lots of sites calling them crap and _some_ hope I can yet get some use out of it. Seems this KFLEX standard modem was used in lots of systems. Compaq, H.P., NEC, ect. in many incarnations and all crapped out when V.90 was superceded. The one in this machne includes a small audio amp for sound apps as well as the Rockwell chip set modem. --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.45* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:275/311) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 275/311 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
