Hi Pat,
PK> Too true! Everyone is feeling much better now. Tom we had to keep an
PK> are all just very tired!
Now you need a vacation to get over the vacation. (G)
RH> Sounds pretty. My aunt is making Rachel a quilt for a wedding
PK> I did work on mine during the vacation some. It kept raining so I
PK> sewed in the afternoons when it rained! :)
Are you hand piecing it or using the machine? I like to use tha machine
because I'm so used to machine sewing and I like the speed of it. That
reminds me; I did a simple squares quilt for Rachel for her second
birthday (twin size). It's beginning to come apart so last year I had
her pick some squares for replacement patches, thinking she would use it
if she went away for college. She stayed home and I haven't gotten that
quilt repaired yet. I guess I will after the wedding as she still wants
to take it with her.
PK> And mom gets a well deserved break too, right?? Good luck with it all
Thanks. We're at 11 days now but I can see the light at the end of the
tunnel. It will be a busy week end at the end of the month; I have a
committee meeting at church the day after the wedding (in addition to
normal services); this is a committee that is working on a big project
so the meetings run longer. Then, the next week end, we have to go to
the Phoenix area for our nephew's christening. After that I can
collapse.
The dresses are coming pretty well; Rachel and Deborah decided not to
have me put the drape on the attendant's dresses. It will save me some
time and frustration; now I just have to hem them. Rachel's needs the
bow added, appiques and the drape put on, buttons and sleeves sewn on
and hemming. Then I have to put together a simple veil and garter. No
rest.........
Catch you later,
Ruth
