The description file for files in directory c:\foo has to be in
directory c:\foo. Each dir has it's own descript.ion file.

You can edit the descriptions with any editor, as you have found out.
But it`s hard to imagine where the combination of 2 description files
would be necessary: 4DOS/4NT handles copying/moving/deleting/renaming of
descriptions along with the corresponding files action. In other words:
its possible to do it, but it should not be necessary.
