LN> What no native OS2 program? Not yet I plan on it though if not able to find this Bugger.. :-) Are you sure that you have background execution on? yes.. Compile this little skeleton program which should give you a visual view of what is happening. Thanks I will attempt to use it. I have been reading command help index and tried the following with no success Priority=Absolute Priority_disk_io=NO IOPL=Yes The thing that is Really weird is that I made a skeleton program here that just uses a few functions and checks the hourly time as the main does and it Does make the log file hourly. However when the graphics and port code are added it will not make the log file. ? But now this is what drives me will make the log file as expected "If" it is left to run in Fore_ground. ?? Makes no sense to me at all. Thanks very much for the reply with the source code test slice program I will take a look at it but am doubtful there is a time slice problem as when I switch to it the time is display'd as well as the updating screen without delay. I'd appreciate any further suggestions that anyone may have on this problem. Thanks again ttul.. --- Maximus/2 3.01* Origin: Blue_Moon BBS ----> 00:00 to 05:00 Hrs Only!
