subject: Warp4/Win95 peer networking

Hello All!
I'm currently setting up a simple peer network between my machine (running
OS/2 Warp 4 FP5) and my father's machine, which uses Win95 OSR2. I'm using
SMC9432TX 10/100 PCI ethernet cards, connected with a CAT5 crossover cable
(no hub).
The problem is that neither machine can see the other. I've checked all of
the obvious problems already, ie:
- The network cards are properly installed in both machines.
- The appropriate network drivers are loaded on both machines, with no error
messages from either machine.
- The network cable is indeed properly connected to both machines.
- Both machines are configured with DIFFERENT machine names and the same
workgroup/domain name.
- The Warp4 machine is set to use IBM OS/2 NETBIOS protocol, and the Win95
machine is set to use NETBEUI.
NET VIEW on the OS/2 machine reveals only the OS/2 machine.
Windows95's Network Neighborhood only shows the Win95 machine.
Any suggestions?
Andrew
