I saw that the Damark catalog had a generator for about $250 +/- and
they carry all sorts of stuff like that.
They also have what looks like a good power inverter,500w start
up/surge,300w continuoous use with a low battery alarm. They have a
reaaly huge one that will power like 1500 w or so for $299. The first
one is adequate to power several baby brooders, incubators or heating
pads, a laptop computer, etc.
I also saw where the Boats U.S. store carries essentially the same type
unit for $109 and $119.
Petiatric Supply, which used ot be Thief of Hearts, has a power inverter
that costs more, about $189, and can be directly hot wired into an auto
battery in the car or a spare auto battery in case of emergency. Some of
my friends just bought this one.
