david, at 13:42 on Feb 14 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... db> I hold it as solid proof that Windows users are all Lemmings, nothing more. OK, understood. I call those ones "Windows zealots" myself. :) db> I'm certainly not a "Windows user", as it's not my choice to be using it. And a very wise choice it is, too. BG> I'm sure there must be others who, due to their favourite app being BG> Windows-based, have a real need to run Windows as well. db> They are focused on the app, not the environment. Agreed, and very much so. Indeed, the vast majority of my MIDI apps are Windows-based will ONLY run properly under native Windows. There are apparently none coded for the OS/2 API. A pity, too. BG> The USR anomaly exists in every USR model however... db> Some people will see the problem, others won't. Same thing. Not everyone db> uses their modem/computer/whatever in exactly the same way. Exactly, although I'm a bit disappointed that whilst USR mention the necessity of storing the baud rate to NVRAM with &W, they don't adequately explain why this is necessary with their modems. BG> Still smarting from your "discussions" re Binkley, are you? :) db> Smarting? I'm right and he's wrong - what's the problem? *shrug* The problem is that he refuses to acknowledge that he's wrong. :) Regards, Bill --- Msgedsq/2 3.20* Origin: Logan City, SEQ (3:640/305.9) SEEN-BY: 640/305 711/934 |
