Jeff Cole spoke to Chris Waldrop about
Del uploaded files.. on 27 Dec 95 00:43:04:
CW> Does anyone know if there is a way to have Telemate immediately
CW> delete uploaded files? I use Telemate and the Blue Wave Offline Mail
CW> Reader. When I go into the Reader and open a packet, I can't ever
CW> remember if I've uploaded the last reply packet.
JC> Here's something I do. Right after I upload the .REP packet, I hit
JC> ALT-R and change to my upload directory. Then I just delete the file.
JC> That way I don't have to worry about it!
You can also use batch files. I hit ALT-R and use small batch files
to delete the rep packet as the mail door is tossing my messages.
For instance, I use the following to delete the rep packet from this
BBS:
CM.BAT
------
@echo off
c:
cd\bwave\upload
del commport.new
dir/w
The last DIR/W is just for me to see what rep packets I have left
after deleting the one in question.
... Success occurs in private, and failure in full public view.
