Did you as a kid ever encounter a critter called "Greenie Stickem
Caps?"
They were intended for a high tech cap pistol that instead of having
the nasty ole roll of caps, one would unstick these little round caps,
affix them on the back of a "cartridge" that would be placed in the
cylinder of a cap pistol that looked quite like the old SA Colts.
I discovered that one could achieve one heckova neat cap gun effect by
placing about 10 of these things in the hammer of an old percussion 12
guage.
All the other kids thought I had a pretty neat cap gun for playing
cowboys and indians.
The police chief, however, thought it would be a better idea if I were
to take that thing home and put it up.
