There is hope in firearms legislation. It appears as though the laws signed
by our very liberal governor are not yet infact law and that the law is
undergoing some revision. Case in point the one handgun a month and the
assault rifle ban. Where SB23 is hung up is the very fact that there is no
definition in mil-standards, mil-specs, national stock numbers, federal
stock numbers, manufacturing or assembly drawing in use or prior use by the
federal government which defines an assault weapon. Therefore the basic
premise for everyone to consider is that: since the federal government has
not defined what is an assault weapon, it cannot therefore exist. Therefore,
SB23 cannot be implemented as it uses the news media to define something
that by definition does not exist in the federal register.
