This is good.  What you need to find now is someone in that town or with
access to the archives of the newspaper.  The State Library will have it,
for example.  Some universities will have archives.

Don't tell ANYONE that you are involved in an adoption.  Just say you are
tracking the record of a recent birth for a family tree.
