1) Try setting the dos setting "idle sensitivity" to 100, and read the
online context help for it while you are there. Unfortunately, this
will cause the performance of your whole PC to suffer, even if the
dos program doesn't do anything useful for the rest of the hour.
2) rewrite it as a real os/2 program .
