Actually, finally got a message on the Netcomm BBS, they have
said that they will try calling my system. The number again
is 02-878-3755. I will not be impressed if I get a whole lot
of complaints about my Netcomm modem AFTER I have bought one
when you can "try before I buy" NOW. You're running out of
time too, this is my last week from memory. I think it is
immoral to keep using the modem when I have virtually decided
not to get this particular brand, so will be moving any day.
Like the pommie who always believes the number 7 bus WILL
eventually turn up, I have been waiting in expectation of a
miracle from USR. So far the late, but polite, but not yet
followed up phone call from Netcomm is FAR more support than
I expect I will ever see from USR, and I now that I have the
names of the guys at Netcomm I think I could actually get
them to do something if I followed it up by voice. In the
absence of anyone reporting problems connecting to Netcomm
(as opposed to the slower CPS rates I expect to get when
connecting to Dave's cruddy USR), I expect to be buying one.
BTW, the form I have is prices as of March '95. I rang up
to check that another form wasn't going to be coming out,
and they said "not that we know of", followed by "BTW, can
you add $10 for freight to the one you already have".

I'm not sure what to do!!! BFN. Paul.

P.S. It could be Wednesday that I buy the modem, so test NOW
and ask questions NOW!
