CR> Seen thew myself a while ago, back when they were the Detroit MI
CR> area...a GREAT show...they played just about every 'hit' song you could
CR> think of, and of course a lot of stuff from Test For Echo...and some
CR> suprises in the old stuff they played...
Hey, I just happened to see Test for Echo in the bins at Blockbuster...I
wasn't aware that Rush had a new one out. I don't listen to a whole lot of
commercial radio anymore. How does this album compare to previous Rush
albums. I haven't heard anything from it.
I've got all the LP's except the two live one's from RUSH through Hold Your
Fire (at which point, HYF caused me to lose interest). Some of the tracks
I've heard from the last couple albums were pretty good, but I'm not the
album buying young man I used to be.
To give you an idea, my favorite albums are 2112 through Moving Pictures.
It just so happens that I found cutout CD's of 2112 and MP in the bins at
Walmart the other day. Now if I can only find Farewell, Hemi and PWaves
at a comparable price...I'll be well on my way to duplicating my LP
ollection
on CD.
I came close to picking up Test for Echo the other day simply because I liked
the cover art, but I hate to buy an album based strictly on what it LOOKS
like.
"Turn of the Century" by Supertramp is the ONLY album I've ever bought
simply because of the cover...fortunately it had a couple of excellent songs
on it as well.
But back to Rush..yours or anyone elses comments on "Echo" would be
appreciated!
Thanks
Mike
