I tried a bit of clorox and it seemed to help a bit but JP> not to the fullest. I've got an old Canon BJ-200 and I just use hot water on a lint free cloth pressed against the print head. No scrubbing and don't touch it with fingers. There have been times when I refilled where it took overnight and a second treatment before the cartridge would spring to life and there's also a head cleaning option on this printer that I rarely use. I've used cartridges stored for over a year but when I've refilled them I'd also retained that little clip that originally held a small plastic piece over the print head to keep it from drying out. I place a small piece of plastic over the print head and snap that clip back onto cartridges refilled but not destined for immediate use. --- MultiMail/MS-DOS v0.45* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:275/311) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 275/311 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
