Basically the Netcomm was a rock-solid modem, both at allowing
other brands to connect, and holding a connect. The USR
suffered from dropouts, both with other USR's and other modems.
The Netcomm + USR were both superior with their V42bis transfers
because of their 16-bit DSP (or something) on compressed files.
In short, he said the USR is not a $200 better modem. It is not
even a better modem. BFN. Paul.
