The sarcasm and potshots don't worry me. I have found that
the majority of programmers are willing to give a hand up if one has
the temerity to ask. I could do much better in Turbo Pascal and
what I can do in that is in large part due to the help of the
legendary Australian moderator of the Pascal echo and MANY others
there who WELCOMED hobbyists. I'm a retired university
administrator and professor (entirely different field) and enjoy
playing around with all things computer. At 77, I have no ambitions
to become a professional programmer. Thought I'd made that clear.
Now, I'm even MORE grateful to Cliff, Jerry and Kurt for
their help even though in private they surely smile a lot also. And
I SHALL press on despite being the butt of humor.
Sincerely,
Frank
