subject: VW engine parts

I'm new to this echo, so this question may have been answered.
Where can I get new stock engine parts? I drive a 1974 VW Super Beetle,
and I would like to built a stock engine for it. And I don't mean a
stock 1969 engine, but an actual December 1973, VW Super Beetle,
non-California. (It was built in 73, but it's a 74 model.)
I'm looking for German or US parts. Mexican and Brazilian parts don't
have the specs I need, and don't last very long. (On a Mexican head, I
almost cut my hand holding it, it had no many burs on and in it!
Doesn't carbon build up on them?)
I'm looking for German or US heads, crank, case, cam, etc...
I would also like to find a VERY specific carb. It's a VW Solex 34-PICT
3. It has a vacuum port for EGR, and one for vacuum advance. It also
has the midified pump linkage does it doesn't stick on the alternator.
(Basically a 74 non California carb.)
                Mike Fritz
