Think I've seen a version on Ben's system. We get through
all these thunderstorms I"ll be making some raids on his
system for that and a couple of other tools to look at.
I've dialer, and I think packet driver around here already
in stand alone versions, so we'll see what goes.
I'll probably still hang onto bellsouth connection, not just as transport
layer for shell account if necessary, but for
my mailing lists, separate them from higher priority mail.
Btw thanks for the lead on web hosting Nancy. Our site
developer guru has his favorite folks to use, and we'll be
checking through them first, if not giving your friend a
call. HE's still doing some manipulation of photos, etc. to get what we
want. Has some cropping to do as I had a bunch
of tools out and a piece of equipment pretty much fully
undressed so we could work on it . Of course that's when we had
good light and conditions to tact photos in natural
light too, so now he gets to crop the clutter .
What are you using for email client btw? I'm still debating whether to set
up transnet and then bang it into the bbs or
what to do there .
NB> If you can't find it, we've got it... it's freeware. (The fully
NB> maintained versions are for Windows and Linux.)
Will look at Ben's files list but think I've seen it and a
few other things there. Reminds me I've got to get back to
culling Ben's file list of categories I'd have no use for
and making it of more manageable size to open with my
favorite text editor .
RW> Two purposes, help me find what I need, and we'll keep this
RW> echo from the backbone ax .
NB> Good reason... useful place to have, even if only occasional...
Indeed it is. Too many near dead echoes on the old backbone these days.
Remember the salad days a bit over a decade ago when these here echoes were
all jumping with activity .
Regards,
Richard
