Ah! Unless you made a typo, there's your problem! The "standard" IRQ
for COM2 is 3 (not 2).
On a side note, I run a couple DOS programs with Win 95. If I have
NetPager running and I try to run PCAnywhere for dos, PCA can't talk to
the modem (the port is BUSY). Unload NetPager and all is fine. It's
possible that something in Win '95 has already taken the modem such as
Microsoft Fax. I've been bitten by that too.
