RH> Sounds like it varied regionally, maybe.
I think it did, just wish they'd have let me know before going up there
what I was going to get.

RH> Fingers crossed. It's usually early June. I'm just praying workers
RH> can get into the fields to pick produce nationally.
We got some at the local farmer's market on Saturday. Got 3 boxes, 2 of
which are crushed and in the freezer now. Part of the last one went into
a spinach salad, another part will be strawberry short cake tonight. The
remainder will be used in different ways and we'll probably get more on
Saturday.

RH> I'm halfway nervous about the frozen ones. The packaging is plastic.
RH> The cases they're in have glass doors so they're not getting sneezed
RH> on, but all you need is one idiot.
I usually buy fresh but wanted certain ones for my chicken soup. Got
some asparagus, kale and spinach at the farmer's market on Saturday.
Nice thing about that is that we know the growers. (G)
