That's the major problem with the punch card system.  when I lived in Texas 
they went to the punch card balloting and unlike the voting machines wherein 
if you made a mistake you could just lift the lever and then push the correct 
one or in the case of computerized machines push the button to toggle it off 
and then push the correct one, with the punch cards if you make a mistake you 
have to begin again with a new ballot and if the ballot is long that is time 
consuming. Hopefully other forms of voting will be accessible at some point.
