        I am seeking any and all information on John JACOB 1560-1627 and his
        ancestors and decedents.
        John JACOB was a gentleman of Dover, Kent, England.  In 1574 he was
        the Mayor of Canterbury. In 15587 he married Alice LUCAS, the 
aughter
        of John LUCAS.
        His son, also named John (1591-1645), was sergeant of the Admiralty
        of the Cinque Ports under the Earl of Suffolk from 1628 to 1640.
        He was a great royalist and supporter of Charles I.  He was slain at
        the Battle of Bristol by Oliver Cromwell's troops in 1645. He married
        Alice GOLDER, daughter of John GOLDER who was a mayor of Dover.
