As some of you may recall, Melvin had been participating here on an
increasingly frequent basis. On June 30th he posted what I believe was
his last post to this conference, in which he questioned what
qualifications were necessary to participate here and suggested that we
should all behave a little kinder to a certain individual.
Then we heard nothing from him.
Just a couple of days ago I received an e-mail from Melvin. He no longer
has access to a FidoNet BBS. The BBS he had been calling shut down and
he cannot find an alternate source.
A couple of participants here had expressed concern to me that we may
have offended him. He asked me to assure all of you that that is in no
way the case. He would like to rejoin us here if it were only possible.
He does have a Internet account. Unfortunately, I am not aware of
any way of accessing this echo via the Internet at this time.
If anyone knows of a FidoNet BBS that can be accessed through telnet,
please let me know and I will pass this information on to Melvin. The
FidoNet EDUCATOR is not available as a mailing list at this time. It
would be nice, but I do not have the resources or knowledge to implement
a mailing list at this time.
