BW> Wonderful. Glad to see my reminder worked .

ah, my message did get through... wierd, i sent it a week ago, i guess
the fido funnyness on my end just delayed it...
KW> oh mister moderator, or mister acting moderator - what say you?
KW> uuencoded zip or would a debug script be better appreciated?
BW> If neither, please post one or more BBSs (with their numbers) where
BW> you've posted the file and, of course, the filespec. Also, could
BW> you include (if you know) whether or not this/these systems allow
BW> first call downloads? Thanks much!
heck, i could probably netmail it to you... i decided to imbed a debug
script for it right in the documentation, which in total is about 10-11k
(about 6 pages printed, 2 150 line messages if sent uncompressed)...
i don't call many bbses though... actually i only call 1 (which
obviously is listed in the origin line of this message) so i guess if i
were going to upload it anywhere that would be it... the filename would
be backtrak.* (doc if uncompressed, arj or zip if compressed)...
i'd like to say again, though, that it's rough... i would have liked to
be able to test it on a variety of drive types (scsi, eide, 500M+, etc)
but not having access to such materials i'm stuck with trusting
reference material and a little (hopefully) common sense... it works on
my computer and it should return an error message where ever or whenever
it can't perform properly, but i am (of course) considerably less than
perfect... as such i would be remiss to leave out that since this thread
started i have discovered an av package that is supposed to be able to
backup the entire first track, it's called sbabr (i have no idea where a
name like that comes from though) which is supposed to be available for
ftp from the simtel archives...
... wash, rinse, repeat...**
