subject: OS/2 Bckgrnd program

Hello All,
I have written a "C" program that is compiled under BC++ for
Dos. Well I want to run it in a window in the background all the time. Now
here is my problem, I noticed that it does not create a log file that is
Does IF it is running in the foregrnd every hour. This has me wondering what
is happening once it is put in the backgrnd. So I decided to test out the
Dos backgrnd running of other things like floppy disk i/o here under a
normal dos window in backgrnd NO problems at all it continually ran on and
on while I was reading messages on my BBS or whatever I was doing. However
why does this application not log the log file hourly if put in the
backgrnd? I have set the idle time to 0 and sensitivity to 100 or
disabled. Also tried to boost the priority all with zero results. The hourly
log file also runs a few functions that are a must for the whole program to
do. When I switch to it all appears normal and it will create the log file
if it is in the foregrnd like I said ???
Anyone have any ideas as to why this is doing this?
Thanks All for any suggestions..oao.
