You definitely need to read "My Parrot, My Friend" then. The background
she provides on bird behavior will do you well with any bird you end up
getting. Once you find Bird Talk, you might also want to watch for
seminars by a "Chris Davis". She is a bird behaviorist from California,
with a background in Behavioral Psychology, and IMHO, she's the best in
the business. (You'll see other names bantered around, including one
woman who puts out a newsletter-magazine). But Chris is excellent with
the birds, and really seems to know what they're thinking. If she does a
seminar near you, plan to attend!
