| subject: | Re: Mail client without spam notification |
From: "Ned" I use PMMail and my spam filter marks the email as read then moves it to a Spam folder. This does not result in a new mail indicator in the system tray. The key is marking the email as read. -- -- Ned -- nreiter_AT_attglobal_DOT_net Association of Shareware Professionals developer member http://www.asp-shareware.org/ "Gregg Nemesure" wrote in message news:Xns941FA815B977Anemesuremindspringco{at}216.144.1.254... | However, all the mail clients I've tried (Eudora, Pegasus, Becky, and | Outlook) insist on displaying a mail notification icon in the tray even if | the mail is filtered to a spam folder. I can usually supress the sound, but | the icon remains. | | Does anyone know of a client that does not exhibit this brain-dead | behavior? One of my main reasons for filtering the spam is so I am not | constantly being notified. --- BBBS/NT v4.01 Flag-5* Origin: Barktopia BBS Site http://HarborWebs.com:8081 (1:379/45) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/45 1 633/267 |
