    It's called indirect reported speech, Darin, or single inverted commas.
    For program purposes it's easier than that. Just establish two variables 
SINGLEQUOTE and DOUBLEQUOTE, and then keep them set or reset according to the 
state of text at your text pointer. Child's play. :-)
