SP> They sure do. I'm not sure if the Hydro Clock still exists - I
SP> think they changed the shrubbery topiary a few years ago - but they
SP> do. However, I rarely visit the Falls in the summer - in winter,
SP> when I am most desirous of a tropical break, I visit the Niagara
SP> Parks greenhouses. (We're planning a trip anytime now.) They not
SP> only have spectacular specimen plants in a seasonal display, but
SP> they have a permanently planted house with a fruiting banana, a
SP> desert section, orchids, citrus, etc. And the last couple times I
SP> was down, they had a long-running hummingbird "display", but the
SP> birds were free to fly in and out of 2 or 3 houses, giving one an
SP> additional winter treat. :-) Very refreshing change.
It's sounds like they have really expanded the gardens then
since I was there. But then that was in the early 60's I guess
that I was last there. Oh you can come down here and see fruiting
bananas, orchids and citrus!!! I don't really remember
greenhouses though, just the outdoor gardens. If you ever come
down here to Central Florida, you might want to check out Epcot
Center. They have some neat hydroponic gardens there. Actually
they have a lot of beautiful gardens in the park. A rose garden
and in different areas depending on which country is featured
they have gardens as you would see in that country. I also
remember seeing a formal herb garden there. Fascinating. But it
sounds like Niagara Falls is too. I guess I would appreciate
seeing Niagara Falls more in the summer when everything is
burning up down here. That would be refreshing for me.
