I was actually at the stage where I was about to call it quits anyway,
although he certainly didn't know that.  70-80 minutes each way, in peak
hour freeway traffic, is not guaranteed to make your day any brighter, I
promise you.

Precisely, and it's actually rather surprising just how much of his
business is generated by the BBS community, and even if the majority sided
with him, it would still cause him an awful lot of grief in the long term.
