Thanks for the tidbits. I guess one of my biggest problems will
be the lack off winter dormancy. I have heard though that you can
keep an asparagus bed going for a few years down here...but not
the long term kind you can have up north.  I only paid $1.97 for
my 8 roots so I guess I won't be out too much if it doesn't work
out. I'm not too optomistic. I have always resisted ordering
roots from my garden catalogs....don't know why I bought them at
Wal Mart,  guess one of those stupid spur of the moment things.
I had heard previously that they don't like weeds, that's gonna be
a big challenge.    Yes, a lot of veggies like some afternoon
sun down here that are normally full sun elsewhere.
